Welcome to Thread and Grove Clinical Psychology

About me

I am a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults seeking healing, clarity, and a more grounded way of moving through the world. My therapeutic style is collaborative and steady, shaped by the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported at a pace that honours their readiness.

I have over 25 years of experience working as a psychologist, across public and private settings and with a wide range of presentations. These varied contexts and communities have shaped a practice that is steady, culturally attuned, and grounded in the belief that people carry deep wisdom about their own lives. Each place I’ve worked has added another thread to how I understand healing, resilience, and the many ways people make meaning.

My work is anchored in EMDR, IFS‑informed parts work, Compassion‑Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and grounded in feminist, trauma-informed and attachment‑based approaches. These modalities offer different pathways into understanding the stories we carry, and the patterns that once protected us but may no longer serve us. I weave them together gently and intentionally, helping people reconnect with their inner resources, soften self‑criticism, and build a more compassionate relationship with themselves.

My own lived experience of motherhood, migration and minority identity deeply informs how I show up in the therapy room. I understand what it means to navigate multiple worlds, to hold complex stories, and to seek spaces where one’s full identity is welcomed without explanation. This shapes my commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and trauma‑aware care, where each person’s context, community, and history are honoured.

I work with a diverse range of adults, including perinatal clients, Spanish speakers and people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQIA+, people with complex trauma, and individuals supported through various programs such as WorkCover, NDIS and Victims Services. I welcome and celebrate the full spectrum of human experience—culture, language, identity, neurodiversity, body, family structure, and the many ways people survive and make meaning.

As an AHPRA‑approved supervisor, I accompany clinicians in cultivating grounded, reflective, and trauma‑informed practice.

My Values as a Psychologist

My work is guided by presence, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I aim to create a space that feels steady, warm, and culturally safe — a place where your story can unfold at its own pace. I value collaboration, curiosity, and the belief that healing is not linear but shaped by context, community, and the wisdom you already carry.

I am committed to trauma‑informed practice, inclusivity, and honouring the many identities, histories, and strengths that people bring into the room. My approach is gentle, grounded, and centred on supporting a safe and genuine connection.

Thread and Grove reflects the heart of my practice: the thread that guides without pulling, the grove that shelters without confining, and the labyrinth that invites each person to walk their own path with curiosity and courage. My role is not to direct your journey, but to walk alongside you—offering presence, tools, and a compassionate space where healing can take root.
